“Home for the Holidays” has a special meaning for us at the Homeownership Center Northwest. It means that for more than 215 individuals and families served by HCNW over the last 29 years, they have a place to gather and celebrate with their loved ones, feeling secure in an affordable home of their own.
We are reminded of the joy and pride we have seen in every one of those families when handed the keys to their home, and we are truly grateful to all our donors, partners and volunteers who helped make the dream of homeownership a reality for so many in our community. |
We have exciting plans for 2023!
As we close out 2022, we are excited to announce to our valued supporters that 2023 is going to be a landmark year for the Homeownership Center Northwest! Not only will we be celebrating 30 years of providing affordable Homeownership opportunities in Tacoma and beyond, but we also have new and ambitious goals to match our milestone birthday! As we embark on our 30th year in an unfavorable housing market, we are exploring innovative solutions to combat the affordable housing crisis in our community--but we need your help!
Here is a little sneak peek at what we have planned:
HCNW is pursuing the establishment of a Community Land Trust (CLT) in Pierce County which will serve to reduce the long-term costs associated with homeownership. Additionally, HCNW is exploring an "Affordable Housing Showcase of Homes” in partnership with local businesses, contractors, and organizations, which will introduce new affordable homes to our community.

help make affordable homeownership a reality!
Donate today.
With your financial support this giving season, you will help Homeownership Center Northwest in becoming the only active community land trust in Pierce County and help bring new affordable homes to our community!
Introducing new affordable homes for low-moderate-income homebuyers frees up affordable and low-income rental units for individuals and families who may be on the verge of homelessness or who are already without permanent housing. Please consider donating to Homeownership Center Northwest before the end of the year in support of ambitious and innovative goals for 2023 and beyond! All donations are tax deductible (EIN: 91-1604011) With Gratitude, Norman Brickhouse, Board Chair Sue Elkin, Executive Director |
